Elisha Cuthbert's ex-boyfriend Sean Avery, a former Ranger who is now with the Dallas Stars, has been suspended by the NHL over messy remarks he made about the Canadian-born actress, calling her his "sloppy seconds."
He said after yesterday's morning skate, "I'm really happy to be back in Calgary, I love Canada."
"I just wanted to comment on how it has become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don't know what that's about. But, enjoy the game tonight."
Elisha is now dating Calgary Flames star defenseman Dion Phaneuf. She also had she dated Mike Komisarek of the Montreal Canadiens before dating Avery.
Meanwhile, Avery reportedly has dated model Rachel Hunter, who is now engaged to Kings center Jarrett Stoll.
